Of de tijdstempel echt is en precies dit bestand dekt, of de dienst die hem zette op de Europese vertrouwenslijst staat en dat op dat moment ook was, en of er na de stempel nog iets aan het bestand is toegevoegd. Bij het archief uit de app ook de binnenkant: elke foto op haar handtekening en haar hash (een pixel anders en hij klopt niet), de reeks (elke foto wijst naar de vorige), het zegel over het hele dossier, de handtekening van het toestel onder elke foto, en de ondergrens van de tijd. Een bewerkte, vervangen of weggelaten foto valt hier af.

Whether the timestamp is genuine and covers exactly this document, whether the service that set it is on the EU trusted list and was at the time, and whether anything was added to the document after the timestamp. For the archive from the app also the inside: every photo against its signature and its hash (one pixel different and it fails), the sequence (every photo points to the previous one), the seal over the whole file, the device's signature under every photo, and the lower bound of the time. An edited, replaced or omitted photo fails here.

Een verzonnen bestand kan een echte tijdstempel dragen, want stempeldiensten stempelen voor iedereen. Daarom: nooit groen zonder register.

Only when the file carries a registry receipt that verifies here: then EverStamp registered it in a period that was itself timestamped by a qualified service. An invented document can carry a genuine timestamp, because timestamp services stamp for anyone. Hence: never green without the registry.

Elke foto draagt altijd de toestelklok op de seconde, een onafhankelijk tijdanker (niet eerder dan), de handtekening van het toestel en die van EverStamp. Wat een gekwalificeerde tijdstempel toevoegt is de andere kant: niet later dan. Bij EverStamp Standaard zit die stempel op het dossier als geheel (en in het register); bij EverStamp Pro ook in elke foto apart. De regel Bewijsniveau zegt welke van de twee dit dossier is. Een Standaard-dossier kan later naar Pro worden gebracht, behalve de stempels per foto.

Every photo always carries the device clock to the second, an independent time anchor (not before), the device's signature and EverStamp's. What a qualified timestamp adds is the other side: not after. With EverStamp Standard that timestamp sits on the file as a whole (and in the registry); with EverStamp Pro also in every photo separately. The line Evidence level says which of the two this file is. A Standard file can later be brought to Pro, except for the per-photo timestamps.

Een dossier volgt een checklist: stappen met een minimum aantal foto's, strikt (de app rondt pas af als elk minimum is gehaald) of vrij (de stappen zijn een leidraad). De regel Checklist telt de foto's per stap en zegt wat ontbreekt. Dat is context, geen bewijs: een onvolledig dossier is niet minder echt, alleen minder volledig. De ingebouwde checklists kent deze pagina; een checklist van een organisatie reist in het dossier mee.

A file follows a checklist: steps with a minimum number of photos, strict (the app only closes the file once every minimum is met) or free (the steps are a guide). The line Checklist counts the photos per step and says what is missing. That is context, not evidence: an incomplete file is no less genuine, only less complete. This page knows the built-in checklists; an organisation's own checklist travels inside the file.

Het bewijs zit in het bestand, niet bij ons. Adobe Reader toont de handtekening uit zichzelf. Met de hand: openssl ts -verify, met OpenSSL 3 (de standaard-openssl op macOS is LibreSSL en kan dit niet).
